Heller votes against SCHIP

There was one, and only one, member of the Nevada congressional delegation to vote against the Children’s Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act (H.R. 976) today in the U.S. House of Representatives: Representative Dean Heller (R-NV2). [roll call 906] Representatives Berkley (D-NV1) and Porter (R-NV3) voted in favor of the bill.

This man is despicable. I guess it's all ok as long as he has healthcare coverage provided for him and probably his family on the taxpayers dole.

I'm with whoever said it was time to take the healthcare benefits from Congressional members and then tell them to figure it all out.

I am outraged that Heller would vote against this desperately needed funding for Nevada's children. Does he not realize that Nevada is ranked very low in healthcare and immunizations for children? Heller needs to realize that parents sometimes have to pick between food and private insurance.
